Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz stated that there is no room for Ireland to be taken lightly and that the Tigers always play with respect for every opponent.
Miraz emphasised that all opponents are the same on the International stage there is no scope to underestimate any side.
“International cricket is always challenging. It’s not about small and big teams, every team tries to play well. We are also trying to prepare well. There is nothing to underestimate Ireland. We play against every opponent with respect. But it will definitely be difficult for us to play here,”
Bangladesh played the 2019 ODI World Cup and the 2017 Champions Trophy in England. Miraz believes Bangladesh will quickly adapt to the conditions.
“Having played the World Cup here, I also have experience playing in the Champions Trophy. We are discussing how to overcome the challenges. Hopefully, we will come to a solution on how to do good batting-bowling,” he added.
Bangladesh will play a warm-up match on Friday before the start of the three-match ODI series.
The first ODI match will be played on May 9, the second and third matches will be on May 12 and 14. Bangladesh's participation in the World Cup has already been confirmed.
