Note-Books (khata) distributed among students

Touhidur Rahman Manik, Mayor of Shibganj Municipality has inaugurated the distribution of Note Books (Khata) Festival on Saturday.  Each student was handed over two notebooks under this programme.  On Saturday morning, the Note-Books were distributed among 1,500 students of Pilot Girls High School and Banail Model Government School. 

Presided over by Municipal Mayor Touhidur Rahman Manik, the function was attended and addressed, among others, by Shibganj UNO Alamgir Kabir, General Secretary of Upazila AL Mostafizur Rahman Mosta, Upazila Vice Chairman Rijjakul Islam Raju and Head Master of Shigbganj Pilot Girls School Tajul Islam.

Chief Guest Touhidur Rahman Manik said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken steps to make students school-bound by handing over new books to them. Considering the want of many families, steps have been taken to distribute two note-books to each student. Gradually, 12,000 students of 12 educational institutions under the municipality will be given two notebooks each. In the function, Vice Chairman of the upazila Parishad Rijjakul Islam Raju declared to distribute 1,200 pens to 1,200 students.
