Faridpur Deputy Commissioner Atul Sarkar provided humanitarian assistance to non-MPO employees of various educational institutions of Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
The food items were distributed on the DC’s behalf at the Sarada Sundari Girls' High School ground in the district town.
AKM Yusuf Ali, Headmaster of Ishan Institution, Monirul Islam, Headmaster of Sarada Sundari Girls High School and others were present at the time.
Rice, pulses, oil, vermicelli, sugar, potatoes, soap and other medicines were provided as humanitarian aid among the employees.
According to district administration sources, there are various educational institutions in the district town where many employees have not yet got MPO. They are currently facing various economic problems due to the corona crisis.
Faridpur Deputy Commissioner Atul Sarkar, knowing the matter, arranged to give them food items as Eid gifts.
Ayub Ali, the night watchman of Ishan Institute, said after receiving the Eid gift said, “I was facing various problems during the lockdown due to corona virus spread. I benefited a lot from receiving the gifts”. He thanked the deputy commissioner for helping.
