Nominees for 76th Emmy Awards announced

The nominees for the 76th Emmy Awards, set to be held in Los Angeles on Sunday, have been revealed. Leading the nominations is FX’s Japanese drama 'Shogun' with 25 nominations. It is followed by FX’s comedy 'The Bear' with 23, and Hulu’s 'Only Murders in the Building', which received 21 nominations.

In the limited or anthology series categories, 'True Detective: Night Country' leads with 19 nominations. At the pre-gala Creative Arts Emmys ceremonies, 'Shogun' has already won 14 awards, and 'The Bear' claimed seven.

Key nominees in the major categories include 'The Crown', 'Fallout', and 'The Morning Show' for Outstanding Drama Series. 'Abbott Elementary', 'The Bear', and 'Only Murders in the Building' are nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

For Lead Actor in a Drama Series, nominees include Idris Elba for 'Hijack' and Hiroyuki Sanada for 'Shogun'. Lead Actress nominees include Jennifer Aniston for 'The Morning Show' and Imelda Staunton for 'The Crown'.

In the comedy categories, 'The Bear’s' Jeremy Allen White and 'Only Murders in the Building' stars Steve Martin and Martin Short are among the Lead Actor nominees. 'Abbott Elementary' star Quinta Brunson and 'The Bear’s' Ayo Edebiri are nominated for Lead Actress.

Notable programs with the most overall nominations are 'Shogun' with 25, 'The Bear' with 23, and 'True Detective: Night Country' with 19. 'The Crown' has 18 nominations, while 'Saturday Night Live' follows with 17.

The 76th Emmy Awards will be held in Los Angeles, where winners in various categories will be honored.
