Receiving information that the female torture victim in Noakhali could not get treatment due to financial inconsistency Noakhali Municipal Council Mayor Shahid Ullah Khan visited the victim's house on Saturday afternoon.
At that time, the mayor provided financial support to the victim and took all the responsibility of her treatment. He also demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment for all those involved in the incident.
The victim was admitted into 250-bed Noakhali General Hospital on Saturday afternoon after her physical condition deteriorated.
Meanwhile, the main accused in the case Ismail Hossain Bappi, 27, victim’s ex-husband was arrested but police could not arrest the other three accused Bappi's friends Rahim, Arman and Sagar yet. Due to which there is panic among the victim and her family members.
While the girl was returning home from work on Wednesday, four persons including Bappi abducted her from in front of Sudharam Model Police Station. They took her to Bappi's house in Nabogram of Kabirhat upazila and tried to violate her.
