Newly appointed Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Biplob Bijoy Talukder in an exchange of views with the local journalists at his office on Monday said that no troublemakers centering the next Jatiya Sangsad elections will be spared.
He mentioned, no one should think of the incumbent police force like those of the police force in 2013-'14. If anyone raises a hand towards common people or to any police, that hand will be broken, he mentioned.
He further mentioned, 'The election is nearing ahead and there will be activities relating to elections.
If we observe a situation of creating violence like that of 2013-'14, we will tackle that with a strong hand.' He said,' If we observe a certain quarter is trying to instigate others or trying to create a chaotic situation by taking to the street at this nice, peaceful city and trying to make the streets of this green city red with blood, we will not return empty-handed. We'll also challenge them, take a staunch measure against them with a tit-for-tat.'
RMP Commissioner Biplob Bijoy Taluder reiterated, 'No one should think of the present-day police like those of '13, '14 and '15.
If common people are attacked, if police forces are attacked, no attacker will be spared.
We'd try that attacker using the rule of law. We're certain of it.'
