Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee on Wednesday strongly condemned the attack on the valiant freedom fighter (FF) and Justice Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik carried out by BNP men.
In a written statement, the President of the committee Shahriar Kabir and it's General Secretary Kazi Mukul demanded the immediate arrest of the attackers.
BNP men started chanting offensive slogans with the name of Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik from a rally while he was going somewhere using the city's Naya Paltan road by car.
Subsequently, BNP men attacked him along with his driver and vandalized Manik's car.
Manik, also Moulobad O Samprodayikota-birodhi Dakkhin Asia Gono-sammiloni President, filed a case with Naya Paltan police station in this regard.
