Marking the 48th death anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Jahangirnagar University authorities has arranged a nine-day long art exhibition titled “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh” at its Zahir Raihan Auditorium premises to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation.
JU Vice Chancellor Prof Md Nurul Alam inaugurated the exhibition on Wednesday morning. In his inaugural speech, the VC said, we have learned to turn grief into strength. The country is moving fast towards the vision of Smart Bangladesh under the leadership of prime minister Sheikh Hasina. Our new generation should take part into the implementation of this goal.
The exhibition featured 34 artworks on Bangabandhu by students of Jahangirnagar University, University of Development Alternatives and Khulna University. The exhibition is open to all every day from 10am to 5pm, until August 31.
