National Interest of Bangladesh (NIB) distributed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among doctors, health workers and journalists to combat coronavirus.
As part of the distribution, the NIB distributed PPE among doctors and nurses of three hospitals in the capital on Wednesday (April 22). The hospitals are Kurmitola General Hospital, Sheikh Russel Gastro-liver Institute and Hospital Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hospital. Adviser of the NIB Prof Dr Abul Kashem Fazlul Haque inaugurated the distribution programme in the morning.
Director of Kurmitola General Hospital Brig Gen Jamil Ahmed received PPE from NIB for the hospital, while director of Sheikh Russel Gastro-liver Institute and Hospital Dr Faruk Ahmed and director of Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hospital Dr Sarwar-ul-Alam received the PPE on behalf of their respective institutions.
The NIB also provided PPE for journalists of Somoy Television and Jamuna Television. NIB member handed over the PEE. NIB’s media coordinator Nasar Amin said that NIB has taken initiative of setting up anti-bacterial camber in front of five hospitals in the capital.
