Directed by Academy Award-winner Chloé Zhao, Eternals will debut 10 new superheroes in the MCU. Marvel Studios assembled a star-studded ensemble cast of actors that include Angelina Jolie as Thena, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Gemma Chan as Sersi, and Barry Keoghan as Druig. The ‘Eternals’ were created by the Celestials and sent to Earth to protect humankind from the Deviants. After centuries of hiding in plain sight, the heroes are finally set to reveal themselves in the upcoming film due to the looming "Emergence." It's unknown what the new Marvel tragedy entails, but previous ‘Eternals’ trailers make it clear that it was kicked off by Smart Hulk's (Mark Ruffalo) reverse snap in ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
Now, a new featurette video (via Movieclips Trailers) reveals that another superhero is in the mix in the ‘Eternals' world: ‘Superman’. After being separated for centuries, Ikaris is tasked with rounding up all of his teammates to save Earth. Alongside Sersi, he seeks out Phastos to bring him on board. The latest clip shows Phastos' son accidentally mistaking Ikaris for the DC hero, saying, "Dad, that's ‘Superman’!" and confirming that the ‘Man of Steel’ exists in the MCU. -Screen Rant
