A new ‘Eternals’ teaser showcases how powerful each hero is. In a month, Marvel Studios will make its return to the big screen with Chloé Zhao's upcoming MCU blockbuster. Set to introduce a whole new team of superheroes, the Eternals' arrival is expected to change the franchise's overall power hierarchy.

One of the projects confirmed on the heels of Infinity Saga's end, ‘Eternals’ was officially announced during Marvel Studios San Diego Comic-Con panel back in 2019. Boasting a star-studded cast, it will see a group of powerful beings who have been on Earth for thousands of years emerge to neutralize the impending attack of the Deviants. Created by the Celestials, the ‘Eternals’ are technically immortals, hence why the movie's narrative will cover thousands of years. That said, its main storyline will take place in the aftermath of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, with Hulk's (Mark Ruffalo) reverse snap being the catalyst to what they call the divergence.

With a full roster of new MCU key players, there's immense interest in learning more about the Eternals. A new teaser shared by Marvel Entertainment offers fresh looks at some of them using their respective powers. Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry) is seen throwing some sort of magical weapons towards an unknown enemy. Meanwhile, Gilgamesh (Dong-seok Ma) powers his fists, and then seemingly punches a Deviant in the face. Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani) fires up a power blast, and Makkari (Lauren Ridloff) shows off her super speed. Finally, Sersi (Gemma Chan) uses her ability to manipulate matter against fallen volcano debris. Throughout the ‘Eternals’ clip, Angelia Jolie's Thena effortlessly wields her energy staff — in the end, she even used it to hand Phastos' son his orange.

It's worth noting that aside from their individual capabilities, the ‘Eternals’ also have a shared set of superpowers — at least in the comics. If Marvel Studios sticks to its print source, the heroes will all be capable of super strength, teleportation, telepathy, telekinesis, and shooting cosmic rays out of their eyes and hands, among others.  -Variety
