Netflix has renewed the comedy series "Nobody Wants This" for a second season just two weeks after its debut. The announcement was made by Netflix’s chief content officer, Bela Bajaria, at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles.
Season 2 will see Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, both alumni of "Girls," take over as showrunners and executive producers. They have already started work in the writers' room.
Erin Foster, the show's creator, remains on board as an executive producer. She expressed her excitement, saying, "Creating 'Nobody Wants This' is a career highlight for me. The incredible cast and crew made this show what it is today."
The series stars Kristen Bell as Joanne, an agnostic podcast host, and Adam Brody as Noah, an unconventional Rabbi. Their unlikely romance unfolds amid family chaos.
The show debuted at number two on Netflix's Top 10 English-language TV chart, with 10.3 million views in its first few days, quickly reaching 15.9 million views in its first week.
Fans can look forward to fresh storylines in Season 2 as the new showrunners take the helm.
