Police arrested Narayanganj City Corporation Panel Mayor-1 Biva Hasan’s husband from his residence at Baburail in the city in the early hours on Saturday. The arrestee was identified as Hasan Ahmed, 53, Joint Secretary of Narayanganj City BNP unit and a wanted criminal in several cases including a double murder case.
A double murder of two men named Tuhin, 40, and Parvej, 35, was committed at Hossainee Nagar of Kashipur area under Fatulla police station on October 12, 2017.
The then Fatulla Police Station Sub-Inspector Mojaharul Islam filed murder case against 31 including Hasan Ahmed and his brother Abdul Majid as instigator.Muhammad Jayedul Alam, superintendent of police told that Hasan is a terrorist. He is wanted in several criminal cases and criminal allegations like forcible extortion.
He was instigator of mayhem ran by Hefazat-e-Islam at Shimrail under Shiddhirganj police station and Mograpara of Sonargaon upazila.
