Two heavy weight mayoral candidates run their campaign door to door asking votes in favor of them delivering different assurance to civic amenities that would be provided if they were elected again.
Awami League nominated mayor candidate also vice president of district unit Awami League as well as mayor of last 18 years consecutively Dr Selina Hayat Ivy being well organized, physically attending meetings every day and her digital publicity cell campaigning on digital platform constantly.
The independent candidate Advocate Taimur Alam Khandoker who won BNP Chairperson’s political advisor as well as district unit BNP’s convener has been asking vote from door to door.

Awami League formed a seven members election monitoring committee headed by Jahangir Kabir Nanok and conducted a meeting at district Awami League office in which Nanok predicted that Ivy will win by the margin of 1 lakh votes.
