As Bangladesh commemorates the 125th birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam, the nation's cinema industry reflects on his enduring influence through notable film adaptations of his works. Renowned actresses Rozina, Moushumi, and Purnima have left indelible marks in these cinematic endeavors, showcasing their talent and dedication to bringing Nazrul's literature to life on screen.

In 2006, Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar and Moushumi co-produced "Meher Negar," a film adaptation of Nazrul's story, with Impress Telefilm.

Starring Moushumi and Ferdous Ahmed, the film captivated audiences with its portrayal of Nazrul's timeless narrative. Moushumi, reflecting on her role, emphasized the challenges and rewards of portraying literary characters on screen.
