Navy chief monitors law and order situation in Hatia

Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hassan has visited Hatia Upazila of Noakhali district on Wednesday to monitor the overall law and order situation.

He inspected the overall security situation of Hatia upazila, the activities of various institutions and police stations.

During the visit, he exchanged views with all concerned, including the Navy, local administration, law and order forces engaged in security. He wished everyone's sincere efforts and cooperative participation in overcoming the existing crisis of the country.

The Chief of the Navy called on every citizen of the country to fulfill their responsibilities by respecting morality and state laws in order to build a prosperous state without discrimination.

He said with the help and security of the Navy, normal operations have already started in the coastal police stations. This has brought relief to the public. 

He called on the people to unite and help the law enforcers to counter the country's traffic system, commodity price control and terrorist activities. At the same time, he expressed optimism in the formation of non-communal Bangladesh by maintaining brotherly relations.

The Chief of Naval Staff provides guidance to the naval personnel serving in the contingent to ensure overall security and control the law and order in the area of responsibility of the Navy. Bangladesh Navy is working to prevent any destructive and anti-interest activities to move the country forward on the path of development and progress.

He said the ongoing situation will pass very quickly. He also expressed the hope that the naval personnel would return to the barracks after Bangladesh Police engaged in maintaining law and order resume their regular duty.

It is to be noted that in the current situation of the country, Bangladesh Navy continues to fulfill its assigned responsibilities in maintaining public safety, protection of life and property and law and order in coastal districts as well as in Dhaka, Chattogram and Khulna regions.
