In the interest of ensuring the quality of education, a memorandum was handed over to the Prime Minister through Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner to nationalize the jobs of private teachers and employees on the occasion of World Teachers 'Day on Monday. District and upazila leaders of Dinajpur unit of Bangladesh Teacher’s Association handed over the memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner as part of a brief programme held across the country due to Corona pandemic.
Speakers at the time said, “The present government is an education friendly government. We want an end to this inequality in education. We request the government to implement the demand of nationalization of jobs of private teachers and employees immediately”.
The memorandum was handed over to Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and Information, Communication Technology) Md. Saniul Ferdous at 11 a.m. at the Deputy Commissioner's Office led by President of Bangladesh Teachers Association Md. Shamsul Haque, Secretary Md. Nezamul Islam and Additional Secretary Joynal Abedin. Organizing secretaries of the organisation Md Liaquat Ali, Binoy Kumar Roy, Ashraful Islam, Maqbool Hossain, Mamunur Rashid, Anwar Hossain and Alamgir were also present at the time.
