After the Afghanistan series, Bangladesh has no other international schedule before the Asia Cup, where Bangladesh will participate in September.
However, the cricketers do not have the time to waste before the World Cup as they have to prepare through Asia Cup and a bilateral series against New Zealand. Therefore, at the end of this month, a camp will be held with the national team cricketers.
The camp is set to start on July 29. Initially, there was a rumor that this upcoming camp may be organized in Chittagong. But in the end, the camp is going to be in Dhaka.
BCB Cricket Operations Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus confirmed the matter to Cricfrenzy.
“Our camp will start on 29 July. This camp will be with all the cricketers who are in the country. For now, it is happening in Dhaka, no decision has been taken yet about Chittagong or Sylhet,” Jalal said on Monday.
The BCB official also said that the decision will be taken later on organize the camp outside Dhaka.
“We have kept Chittagong in consideration, Sylhet has rain issues. The camp may be taken in Chittagong midway keeping in mind the wicket. But everything will be discussed and decided... now nothing is final,” he added.
However, the cricketers, who will participate in Lanka Premier League (LPL) and Major League Cricket are not staying at the beginning of this camp.
