National statistical day was observed in Jhenaidah with festive mode. Jhenaidah district administration and district statistical office jointly organized the day aiming smart Bangladesh formation through development of statistical system.
A colourful rally led by deputy commissioner (DC) Manira Begum paraded the main roads in the town and ended the starting point at Jhenaidah DC Office premises. A discussion meeting was held at the conference room of the DC.
Presided over by DC Manira Begum, local government rural development (LGRD) Yearul Islam, additional deputy commissioner (ADC, revenue) Razibul Islam Khan, deputy director of the office of the district statistical officer Abdul Alim, Jhenaidah press club president M Raihan among other spoke.
The speakers in heir speeches said accurate statistics is a must for the smooth development of any country as information, nor power is now a key to development in all respects.
