National Safe Road Day 2022 was celebrated in Munshiganj with the slogan "Follow the law and return home safely". A colorful rally and discussion meeting was organized on the occasion of the day.
This program was organized by Munshiganj district administration and with the cooperation of Munshiganj BRTA.
At 11 am on Saturday morning, a colorful rally from the front of the District Commissioner's office circled the various roads of the city and ended at the District Collectorate ground.
After the rally, a discussion meeting was organized in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner. Additional District Magistrate Shilu Roy presided over the meeting. He spoke as a special guest Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) Yasina Ferdous.
Assistant Director of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Md Touhidul Islam Tushar delivered the welcome speech.
Assistant Commissioner (Education and ICT) Nazmus Sama also addressed the President of Munshiganj district committee Tajul Islam, Vice President Peer Hossain, General Secretary of Ghazaria Bus Owners Association Abul Pradhan, President of Bangladesh Road Transport Sramik League Salman Khan, Civil Surgeon Office Asst. Inspector Gazi Amir and others.
In the president's speech, Shilu Roy said, Munshiganj district should include everyone to clear the traffic jam. It will be possible to implement it through the participation of all in the RDC committee and good suggestions. There are many autos in Munshiganj.
Everyone's opinion is very important. Owners association should give importance to illegal busses kept on Sirajdikhan and Srinagar roads of Munshiganj.
Many escape from the hands of the law by causing accidents. Everyone should be aware to prevent road accidents. Only then road accidents will be reduced.
