Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) organised a discussion marking the National Mourning Day and the 45th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Hazi Idris Auditorium on the campus on Wednesday.
NSTU VC Prof Dr Md Didar Ul Alam attended the event as the chief guest with Treasurer Prof Dr Mohammed Faruque Uddin in the chair. The discussion was conducted by Deputy Registrar Md.Jashim Uddin, while it was attended, among others, by Prof Dr Mohammed Faruque Uddin, Treasurer of the university, Prof Dr Firoz Ahmed, Provost of Abdul Malek Ukil Hall, Dr. Mohammad Salim Hossain, Dean of Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Newaz Mohammed Bahadur, President of NSTU Teachers Association, Md. Majnur Rahman, General Secretary of NSTU Teachers Association, Shakhawat Hossain, President of NSTU Officers Association, and Mezbah Uddin Palash, General Secretary, NSTU Officers Association.
In this speech, VC said, “As long as Bangladesh exists, the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will remain exist on the earth. No one will ever be able to erase this name. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had dreamed for independence of Bangladesh and for this reason, we got this independent country after the great liberation war of 1971.”
