On the occasion of the historic National Flag Day on March 2, various programmes were held in Munshiganj. A flag hoisting and discussion meeting were organized by Anweshan Bikrampur in Dakshin Kotgaon area of the town around 8am on Tuesday.
Chairman of Munshiganj Zila Parishad Alhaj Md. Mohiuddin was present as the chief guest on the occasion. The chief guest after the inauguration handed over the flag to the new generation.
Munshiganj Deputy Commissioner Moniruzzaman Talukder, Police Super Abdul Momem PPM, Munshiganj Municipality Mayor Haji Mohammad Faisal Biplob spoke as special guests at the discussion meeting chaired by Anweshan Bikrampur President Mir Nasir Uddin Ujjwal.
Munshiganj District Chhatra League and Swechasebak League organized the meeting. Munshiganj-3 MP and Bangladesh Awami League Liberation War Affairs Secretary Mrinal Kanti Das was present at the meeting as the chief guest. District Swechasebak League President Al Mahmud Babu, former District Chhatra League President Golam Mawla Tapan and District Chhatra League Vice President Apan Das were also present at the program.
