The National Swimming, Diving and Water Polo competition will get way from tomorrow at the Syed Nazrul Islam National Swimming Complex, Mirpur.
Organised by the Bangladesh Swimming Federation and sponsored by the Maz Group a total of 550 swimmers from 52 teams including the Divisional Sports Association, District Sports Associations, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Pratisthan (BKSP), Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Airforce, bangaldesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar and Border Guard of Bangladesh will participate in the the four days meet.
With the full financial support from the sponsors Max Group, apart from BKP, and the services team, Bangladesh Swimming Federation (BSF) will manage the participants’ teams accommodations and transportation.
A total of 38 events including 19 men and as many women, three diving and a water Polo events of men’s division will take place.
Winners of the swimmers will win gold, silver and bornze medals. The champions and the runners up of team-event will be handed over trophies.
Engineer Golam Mohammed Alamgir, chairman of the sponsor company Max Group and the vice-president of the BSF will inaugurate the national meet as the chief guest tomorrow at 4 pm while Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, chief of the Naval Force and the president of the BSF will distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest on November 12.
Meanwhile, the acting general secretary ofteh BSF, Mohhamed Selim Meah detailed all in a press conference on Thursday at the Dutch bangla Bank Auditorium of the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA).
