Bangladesh national football team left Dhaka on Friday for Thimphu, Bhutan to play two FIFA Friendly matches against the hosts.
The matches scheduled to take place in Thimphu on September 5 and 8.
Four youngsters, who were the members of the winning team of the SAFF Under-20 were included in the 23-member Thimphu bound national squad.
Mirajul Islam is one of the four booters, who was the best player and the highest scorer in the SAFF Under-20 championhsip held in Nepal, other three players are – defender Shakil Ahad Topu, forwards Mirajul Islam and Rabby Hossain Rahul and midfielder Chandon Roy were included when the national team’s head coach Javier Cabrera announced the squad on Thursday. Rahul and Roy had previously received national team call-ups but it is a first for Mirajul and Shakil Ahad Topu.
