Narail to get specialised hospital

On anniversary of founding of the Narail Express Foundation, a 10-bed specialized hospital has been announced with the auction of bracelet of Narail-2 MP and former captain of Bangladesh cricket team Mashrafe Bin Murtaza. 

Express Foundation's 3rd founding anniversary was celebrated on Friday at Sharif Abdul Hakim Diabetic Center and Narail Express Health Care Center in Mahishkhola of Narail by cutting a cake and announcing the construction of a specialized hospital. 

Former Member of Parliament and Awami League Leader Advocate Saif Hafizur Rahman Khokon, Mashrafe's father Golam Murtaza Swapan, Chairman of Spectra group Md.Ahsanuzzaman Lintu, Director of Spectra group Md. Akramuzzaman Rontu, Lohagora upazila Awami League Vice-President Faizul Haque Rome, President of Diabetic Patient Welfare Association Abdul Mukit Lavlu, General Secretary of Narail Express Foundation Tariqul Islam Anik, Health Official of Foundation Advocate Rezaul Khabir Raju, Hossain Ahmed Sohan and others were present in the function. 

Vice-chairman of Narail Express Foundation and general secretary of Narail Press Club Shamimul Islam Tulu presided the 3rd anniversary ceremony.  It was announced in the meeting that a portion of Tk 42 lakh auction of Mashrafe bin Muturza bracelets had been spent on preventing players and coronaviruses from becoming unemployed in different parts of the country, including Dhaka. 

Narail Express Foundation will build a 10-bed specialized hospital with the remaining Tk 25 lakh from the bracelet auction and financial support from a few individuals and organizations in Narail. 

The hospital will provide low cost health care to the general public in the presence of specialist doctors 24 hours a day. The hospital is awaiting government approval. Once it is  approved the  construction work will begin. 

It may be mentioned that on September 4, 2017, the journey of a voluntary organization called 'Narail Express Foundation' started on the initiative of Mashrafe Bin Mortuza the then captain of the national one-day cricket team and a visionary of modern and clean Narail. From the very beginning the Foundation has been providing free and low cost health care from door to door in remote areas of the district, various activities for prevention of dengue and corona epidemic, education, culture, training in sports development, environmental protection, social security, agriculture and other social development works in Narail.
