Narail Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) arranged a discussion on the importance of the holy month of Ramadan followed by doa and Iftar mahfil at Utsab community centre here Wdnesday evening.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Habibur Rahman attended the function as the chief guest with NCCI President Mohammad Hasanuzzaman in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Fakrul Hasan,district Awami League president Advocate Subash Chandra Bose,AL district organising secretary Sarder Alomgir Hossain, Jubo League district convenor Mohammad Wahiduzzaman,Ayub Khan Bulu, Press Club president Enamul Kabir Tuku, were present as guests of honour. The NCCI president in his welcome speech greeted the invited guests on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and thanked them for attending the programme.
Chief Imam of Rupganj Jam-e-Mosque Hafez Moulana Md. Abdul Kader delivered the keynote speech as the main discussant narrating the importance of the holy Ramadan, Iftar and Zakat. After the discussion, special prayers were offered seeking divine blessings for continuous peace, progress and well-being of the country and its people before the Iftar mahfil followed by offering Maghrib prayers.
Businesspersons, government officials, leaders of different business organisations, elite of the town, professionals, Lawyers, educationists, journalists and civil society members were present.
