The T-20 Women's World Cup was initially slated to take place in Bangladesh, but the venue was changed at the last moment.

The tournament will now be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In preparation for this significant event, the Bangladesh women's team commenced their training at the Mirpur Sher-e Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Monday.

All-rounder Nahida Akhter addressed the media prior to the practice session. She remarked, "We managed to play five matches in Sri Lanka. Our batters and bowlers are in excellent form. I hope we can carry this momentum into the main matches. We are definitely aiming for victory and will strive to win."

Nahida also discussed the team's efforts to improve, stating, "We have had discussions with the management and the players about the necessary changes. We are focusing on areas that need improvement. Practising under floodlights will hopefully benefit us in the main matches."

Expressing her disappointment about not playing the World Cup on home soil, Nahida said, "It was beyond our control. We all wanted the World Cup to be held in our country. However, we have to move forward. We have previously played matches in Abu Dhabi, and as far as I know, the wickets there are similar. We will give our best effort."

Nahida's comments reflect the team's determination and readiness to face the challenges ahead in the UAE.
