Nadiha Ali, daughter of Unique Group managing director Mohd Noor Ali, was laid to eternal rest at Banani graveyard in the capital after her namaj-e-janaza on Wednesday.
Her namaz-e-janaza was held at the Gulshan Azad Mosque following Zohr prayers.
Earlier, many individuals and organisations paid their last respect by placing floral wreaths on the coffin of Nadiha Ali. Special prayers will be offered at the Gulshan Azad Mosque following Asr prayers on Friday for the salvation of the departed soul.
Nadiha Ali, 37, died on Wednesday last in a road accident near Chicago International Airport in the USA. She was the second daughter of valiant freedom fighter Mohd Noor Ali and Unique Group Chairperson Ms Salina Ali. Her body had arrived in Dhaka on a Turkish Airlines flight on Monday morning. Nadiha Ali's father Mohd Noor Ali and elder sister Nadila Ali had also arrived home on the same flight.
Apart from Nadiha Ali's family members, friends and well-wishers, Industry and Investment Salman F Rahman, State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid and Dhaka North City Corporation mayor Atiqul Islam attended the janaza.
Besides, thousands of people from different levels of public and private sectors also took part in the janaza.
