With the World Cup Qualifiers approaching, the Bangladesh National Football Team is gearing up for two crucial matches in June. The first takes place on June 6th in Dhaka against Australia, followed by a clash with Lebanon on June 11th in Doha, Qatar. Preparations kick off on June 1st, with team selection finalized by coach Javier Cabrera on May 30th.

The National Teams Committee recently convened to discuss these upcoming fixtures. Kazi Nabil Ahmed, the committee chairman and a Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) vice-president, shared their key points: The Australian team arrives in Dhaka on June 4th, departing after the match. Some players have already visited Dhaka, with others expected to arrive soon. The Bangladesh team is working closely with them to ensure a seamless visit.

The committee reviewed past matches, including the one against Kuwait, to identify areas for improvement. Despite Australia's formidable presence, the Bangladeshi squad is considered well-prepared after their training camp in Saudi Arabia. Nabil expressed confidence in their ability to compete against teams like Lebanon and Palestine, who are no longer unfamiliar opponents. He emphasized achieving a positive result against Lebanon as a critical objective for coach Cabrera.

Nabil also provided updates on two players:

Regarding Hamza he said, a minor administrative issue arose during Hamza's visit to the London embassy, preventing him from uploading information to the system. This was a simple misunderstanding and has since been resolved. He will rejoin the team as soon as possible.

Nabil addressed Diaby's situation separately, expressing hope for a quick resolution (details not provided).

The World Cup Qualifier against Australia will be held at Dhaka's King's Arena at 5:30 PM on June 6th. The match against Lebanon will follow on June 11th at Al Saad Stadium in Qatar, kicking off at 10:00 PM Bangladesh time.
