Former Awami League lawmaker of Narayanganj constituency-3 Abdullah Al Kaisar Hasnat filed a defamation petition with the court on Wednesday accusing the incumbent Jatiya Party-backed lawmaker Liyakot Hossain Khoka.
The petition was submitted to the senior judicial Magistrate Ahmed Humayun Kabir court but no order was issued till filing this report.
Kaisar Hasnat in his submission stated that the sitting lawmaker on December 26 evening in a meeting at ward-1 of municipality delivered a derogatory speech addressing him and his late mother.
The lawyer of the petitioner told the media that his client was hurt by this speech of sitting MP Liyakot Hossain Khoka and being failed to get an apology from MP Khoka his client has no other way to file a defamation case to continue his political image.
