Mymensingh Model Thana police have recovered the stolen cash of Tk 5 lakh and gold ornaments after seeing the CCTV footage. Police have arrested one person in this incident.
Confirming the matter yesterday, Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shah Kamal Akand said that on the afternoon of January 9, a robbery took place at the house of one Abul Munsur on Itakhola Road in Mymensingh city. One Abul Munsur along with his family members stayed in Dhaka for a few days before the incident, the thief broke the lock of the house and room at the main gate top of the house and stole cash and gold ornaments.
Based on such news, a team of Model Police Station under the direction of Mymensingh District Police Superintendent Machum Ahmed Bhuyan conducted an operation to identify the thief by reviewing the CCTV cameras around the incident to recover the stolen goods and arrest the thief. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Tuhin, the thief involved in the incident, was arrested as soon as possible and handed over to the learned court.
01 gold ring, 01 pair of gold bangles, 01 gold chain and cash five lakhs were recovered from the stolen goods on 19th January on the basis of the information given by the thief in police remand for 02 days.
Accused Mahfuzur Rahman Tuhin (20) is a violent thief. OC Shah Kamal Akand said that there are multiple theft cases against him in the police station.
