Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Enamul Haque gifted five smart televisions for the prisoners and detainees of Mymensingh Jail as they have long been in need of entertainment.
With this, the prisoners will be able to know the news of the country and abroad very easily and will get the opportunity to entertain themselves.
The Deputy Commissioner handed over the TVs during a visit to Mymensingh Central Jail on Sunday. Additional District Magistrate Ayesha Haque, Senior Jail Super Jahanara Begum, jailer Md. Abdullah Ibne Tofazzal Hossain Khan and other officials were present on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Enamul Haque visited the district jail in Mymensingh once a month to monitor the physical and mental health of the inmates, legal aid activities and their needs and listen to their needs.
The Deputy Commissioner also observed the overall situation of the prison in the case of Covid-19 and gave necessary instructions to ensure compliance of the health rules of the prisoners.
At this time he provided two oximeters and two thermo scanners for the prison hospital by the district administration. He also inquired whether the convicts were being admitted to the jail in compliance with the health norms. He assessed the overall situation of the inmates and provided important guidelines for dealing with cowardice.
He directed the senior jail superintendent to extend all the facilities provided by the government to the inmates.
At that time the deputy commissioner said- we want to show the way of light to the prisoners. In that case all necessary measures will be taken.
