One of the most successful music gurus in the country, Sanjeev Dey is no more. He took his last breathed at 11pm last Thursday (January 28).
It is learnt that the music guru died on the way to Dhanmondi Anwar Khan Modern Hospital at around 11 pm as he fell ill at Nayatola's house.
"I found out that Guruji had a heart attack," said Dinat Jahan Munni, a student vocalist at Sanjeev Dey. Sanjeev Dey is regarded as the most successful and popular music guru in the country. He has been teaching music for almost 5 decades since 1984 with absolute affection.

Numerous artists like Shakila Zafar, Alam Ara Minu, Bappa Majumder, Ankhi Alamgir, Dinat Jahan Munni have been created by his hands. Music people think that his departure is an irreparable loss for Bengali music.
