At Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Renowned historian, former chairman of the history department of Dhaka University and professor of 'Bangabandhu Chair' of Bangladesh University of Professionals, Dr. Syed Anwar Hossain narrated the fascinating story of the known chapter of the life and work of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Prof. Dr Syed Anwar Hossain spoke as the chief guest at a discussion meeting titled 'Life and deeds of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman' at the gallery of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building on Wednesday. At the beginning of his speech, he explained the three educational stories that Bangabandhu used to tell all the time and highlighted the historical context. Professor Syed Anwar Hossain told 'Khandaker Mushtaq's enmity with Bangabandhu was lifelong' and mentioned an incident of Awami Muslim League in 1949.
He said Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani was unanimously elected president of the Awami Muslim League. He was given the power to select people of his choice. Maulana Bhasani first said- Shamsul Haque will be the general secretary. Joint Secretary Mujibur Rahman. Then Khandaker Mushtaq, sitting on the left, drew Bhasani's attention and said, 'Mujibur is in jail - don't you see me? Then Bhasani said- I see you too, I see Mujibur too! The work that will be done by Mujibur will not be done by you. ' At the end of his speech, he discussed in detail the origins, causes and effects of the historical six points.
