The biannual election-2024 of Munshiganj Press Club was held on Friday. Mir Bachir Uddin Jewel (Ittefaq), Sujan Haider Johny (DBC) were elected President and General Secretary respectively in the election.
Nazrul Hasan Choton was elected unopposed for the post of Literary Editor and Abdus Salam for the post of Information Technology and Publicity Editor.
The results were announced after the election in that noon. Before this, voters cast their votes in this election from 9 am to 1 pm.
Other elected members of the committee are Vice President Rashid Ahmed and Gulzal Hossain. Sujan Paik as Joint General Secretary, Muhammad Saifur Rahman Titu as Treasurer, Rajibul Hasan Jewel as Organizing Secretary, Md. Masud Rana as Office Secretary and Arafatuzzaman Babu as Sports Secretary. Besides, Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Sonia Habib Labani, Bhavatosh Chowdhury Nupur, Mozammel Hossain Sajal, Tanzil Hasan, Mir Nasiruddin Ujjal and Sheikh Md. Ratan were elected as Executive members.
Electoral management committee members Manzoor Morshed, Farhana Mirza and Md. Arif ul Islam performed the election duties.
