A new poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness features five versions of Stephen Strange. The first Doctor Strange sequel will follow the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which showed Strange preventing the universe from cracking apart and the whole world forgetting who Peter Parker was. Multiverse of Madness will see several returning characters such as Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen), Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), and Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) and will also introduce new characters to the MCU including Rintrah, Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez, and members of the Illuminati.
The first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness shocked audiences by pulling a storyline from the animated What If...? series, introducing an evil Doctor Strange variant. A few other variants have also been shown in the trailers, including Benedict Cumberbatch's original Doctor Strange, Defender Strange, and Zombie Strange. With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness quickly approaching, Disney and Marvel are ramping up their marketing for the film, giving new looks at Wanda and Doctor Strange's variants.
Marvel has now released the final poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which seems to include five versions of Doctor Strange and several Wanda variants. The poster also provides a new look at Rintrah, Mordo, Wong, and Christine, and possibly an evil Wanda casting a spell on America Chavez and Wong.
While Wanda and Doctor Strange are confirmed to have variants in the sequel, there's been no mention of multiple versions of other characters like Mordo and Wong.
The poster shows three different images of these characters designed the same way as Stephen, but there's no way of knowing if this was simply an artistic decision. Also, it's hard to tell if this poster is introducing a fifth Doctor Strange variant since two of them look very similar or if it's confirming there will be seven different versions of Wanda. Because Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is diving deep into the MCU's multiverse, it's likely some variants have yet to be seen.
Disney has done an excellent job of raising interest for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ever since the trailer premiered during Spider-Man: No Way Home's credits. Various posters, TV spots, and merchandise have given small glimpses at the MCU movie, but with the film releasing in about a week, it's unlikely there will be any more big reveals before it hits theaters. That being said, regardless of what the above poster may be teasing, it's an impressive piece of artwork that will certainly make fans even more excited to see Wanda and Stephen on the big screen again. -Collider
