MSC aim to extend winning run

Federation Cup Champions Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC) will take on Chittagong Abahan in the 14th round of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at 4:00 p.m. at Shaheed Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium, Munshiganj on Friday. 

MSC are in second place with 27 points. The Black and Whites goalless drew with Bangladesh Police FC in their last league match at Mymensingh Stadium. MSC aim to extend their unbeaten start to season. The previous match between the two clubs saw them play out a 0-0 draw at Mymensingh Stadium in January.

Mohammedan have got the better of Chittagong Abahani, unbeaten in their last nine matches. The Blue Pirates are looking for their first league win in fixtures between the two sides since November 2017. MSC have outscored Chittagong Abahani 13-10 during their unbeaten streak.

The Blue Pirates led by Ifeagwu Ojukwu and Paul Komolafe. Ojukwu is the team's top scorer with four goals. Nearly as impressive, Komolafe has scored three times, including one match-opener.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Jamal look to add three points in their attempt to remain clear of the relegation places at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium, Gopalganj against a Brothers Union who currently find themselves in position for relegation on the day.

Sheikh Jamal are in seventh place on 15 points, having scored 11 goals and conceded 17. With five matches to play, Sheikh Jamal trail second-placed Mohammedan Dhaka by 12 points for a spot in the AFC Cup. Jamal lost their last Premier League match 2-0 at Bashundhara Kings Arena against Bashundhara Kings, extending their winless streak to four (Wins 0 Draws 2 Losses 2).

Brothers Union's last league match saw them beaten 5-0 by Abahani Chittagong at Rajshahi District Stadium, leaving them in last place on three points, eight points adrift of safety with five matches left.
