Member of Parliament (MP) of Pabna-4 Constituency Galibur Rahman Sherif said everyone needs to build resistance against the sabotage and anarchy brought by BNP and Jamaat-e-Islam.
The MP said these while speaking as the chief guest at ‘Upazila Terrorism and Sabotage Prevention Committee meeting’, in Ishwardi Upazila of Pabna district on Sunday. The meeting was arranged by the Upazila administration.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Subir Kumar Das presided over the meeting.
MP Galib further said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has built various important establishments, including metro rail, with her hard work. People are being benefitted from these establishments. However, the miscreants have torched the metro rail station. They have also set fire to Bangladesh Television (BTV) Office.
The MP said patience was shown during the movement of the general students. Their demands were accepted. So why they are protesting again, who are doing these, why they are doing these, he asked. He also said the real nature of those who are doing these have come out. He claimed that BNP and Jamaat are trying to change the national flag, national anthem and our nationalism as well. So, there is no time to stay quiet anymore. Their wrongdoing needs to be confronted.
MP Galibur Rahman Sherif said a lot of important establishments were built in Ishawardi with the assistance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. These establishments are our valuable assets. If we are aware, no one can bring harm to these establishments. He said the people of Ishwardi are not with these chaos and anarchy.
They are with peace and development. He urged everyone to build resistance against the sabotage and anarchy of BNP and Jamaat.
Ishwardi Upazila Chairman Emdadul Haque Rana Sardar spoke at the meeting as well.
Ishwardi Upazila Vice-Chairman Md Abdus Salam, Ishwardi Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shahadat Hossain Khan, Inspector (Investigation) of Ishwhardi Police Station Md Monirul Islam, all Union Parishad chairmen and members of the committee were present at the meeting.
