A memorial meeting was held for late Mozammel Haque Shomaji, a close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and an MPA during the liberation war on Chatmohar Pilot Girls High School ground in Pabna’s Chatmohar on Saturday afternoon.
Mayor of Chatmohar Municipality Adv. Sakhawat Hossain Sakho presided over the commemoration-meeting while, Pabna Zilla Parishad Chairman Mohammad Rezaul Rahim Lal was present as the chief guest.
Natore-4 MP and former state minister freedom fighter Professor Md. Abdul Quddus, Pabna-4 MP Freedom Fighter Nuruzzaman Biswas and Pabna-2 MP Ahmed Firoz Kabir were present as special guests there.
Chatmohar Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Hamid Master, Mahila Vice Chairman Lecturer Firoza Parveen, Faridpur Upazila Parishad Chairman Golam Hossain Golap, Chatmohar Upazila Mahila AL Convener Sajeda Rahman and other leaders and activists of AL and its affiliates were present.
Son of the deceased, Momin Mojibul Haque Tutul Samaji, Project Director of LGED conducted the programme.
