The Red Crescent Society Moulvibazar unit has handed over health protection materials to the Civil Surgeon's Office to control and prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection. Members of Red Crescent has also distributed health care items to traveling traders and pedestrians.
Red Crescent Society Moulvibazar unit chairman Misbahur Rahman and general secretary Radhapad Dev Sajal handed over 5,000 masks and 500 hand sanitizers to Moulvibazar Civil Surgeon Dr Chowdhury Jalal Uddin Morshed at the Civil Surgeon's Office on Saturday (July 31) morning. Later, 2,000 masks and 500 hand sanitizers were distributed among the traveling traders and pedestrians at Chaumohana Chattar in Moulvibazar town. The members of Red Crescent handed over health protection items to the traveling traders in the hands of Pranagopal Roy, Business Representative of Paschimbazar and Badrul Islam, Business Representative of Shamsernagar Road. Masks and hand sanitizers have also been distributed among pedestrians.
Former general secretary of Red Crescent Society Moulvibazar unit Ajmal Hossain, executive committee members Manbir Roy Monju, Jerin Akhter, Sajib Hasan, Shahin Chowdhury, Hasan Ahmed Jabed, youth unit chief Kamrul Islam Munna and other members were present at the time.
Misbahur Rahman, chairman of the district Red Crescent unit, said members of the Red Crescent Society Moulvibazar unit and youth unit have been working for the service and welfare of people of all walks of life since the beginning of the corona infection in the district.
The Red Crescent is carrying out various activities including food aid, distribution of health protection materials, assistance in vaccination, free oxygen service at home, sanitation campaign, public awareness campaign.
