A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident on Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf road in Mochni Bazar area under Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Rakib Mohammad Monirul Azam, 54, an NGO official, son of Abdul Hamid, hailed from Tangail.
Howaikang Highway Police Outpost Sub-Inspector Abul Hossain confirmed the matter.
Quoting locals, Abul Hossain, said a Cox’s Bazar-bound truck hit the motorcycle carrying the NGO official in the area at around 8:00pm, leaving him dead.
The body of the deceased was taken by the police. They were trying to contact the victim’s family members.
