A motorcyclist was killed as a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head on with a motorcycle carrying the victim in Dharanti area under Sarail Upazila of Brahmanbaria on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Asif, 22, son of Linkon Mia, resident of Syedtula village under Sadar Upazila of the district.
Locals said Asif bought the motorcycle one day ago of the accident. However, the accident occurred as the motorcycle hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Sarail-Nasirnagar in front of a resort in Dharanti area of the Upazila at noon when he came out of his house to roam around with his friends, leaving him injured
critically.
Locals rescued the motorcyclist and took him to Brahmanbaria (Ghatura) Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Sarail Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Emranul Islam confirmed the matter and said on information police rushed to the spot. The body was handed over to his family members as there was no complaint
