The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Moheshpur frontier of Jhenaidah have detained a mother and her son when they were attempting to enter into neighboring Indian territory from Bangladesh.
The duo was detained at about Monday night from Solemanpur village under Khosalpur border observation pharee (BOP) of Moheshpur upazila.
The detained were identified as Kalpana Rani Paul, 56, and her son Naren Paul (25) of village Hatia under Islamic University police station of Kushtia district. BGB 58 battalion additional director Mehedi Hasan Khan quoting BGB director Lieutenant colonel Qamrul Ahsan said that the BGB members nabbed the duo when they were preparing to enter into the neighboring Indian territory, When they were asked, they could not produce any paper for their travel to India.
The BGB members handed over the mother and son to Moheshpur police station after filing a case under passport act with the police station.
