A woman committed suicide at Chorshafulla (Dhalthfoba) village of Varenga Union under Bera upazila of Pabna on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Farida Parvin, 30, wife of Nurnabi of Chorshafulla village. She was the mother of two children. On Tuesday the woman’s brother and other locals informed the police about the suicide.
SI Roton Kumar Sarkar of Bera police station with his force rescued the body and brought it to the police station. According to the investigation officer and locals when everyone went to work on the field Farida Parvin went to her bedroom and closed the doors.
Hearing the kids cry when the neighbor rushed to the spot they saw Farida’s body hanging. With the help of the neighbors her relatives brought down her hanging body.
According to sources it was an unnatural death, Her body was sent to Pabna Sodor Hospital for post-mortem. A case was filed with Bera Model Police Station in this regard.
