Morsalin Ahmed, who salvaged Bangladesh with scoring the lone goal in the first FIFA International friendly match against Bhutan on Thursday, looks ahead to score goals in the big occasions against big teams.

“For the position, the national team’s coach choose me, foreign players play at that position in the club competition. I usually have maximum 20 minutes time to play and have no many scoring opportunities in the club competitions,” said Morsalin.
Morsalin 20, scored five goals in his one-year international career, considering his age and form, he has every chance to be the highest scorer to cross Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Chunnu, former national star who scored 17 goals for the national team.
Morsalin said that he knows the record of 17 goals of his predecessor Chunnu and he has the target to cross the tally. The youngster, who is very much sharp said, “Actually, for that I would have to work a lot and certainly have to keep up the fitness at optimal level. If I can continue my form, hopefully I will be successful.”
Morsalin, right now looking forward to score goals in the upcoming AFC qualifying round where some of the strong teams would be in Bangladesh’s group.
Morsalin is also aiming to score goals in the coming domestic season but now he is concentrating on the national team. He has club assignment in October in Bhutan, if he would get chance in the starting line up, then will try to score goals, as he expressed his objectives.
Morsalin, the emerging star of Bangladesh football is a student of Dhaka University and eagerly wants to complete his graduation from the country’s top education institute, as he said, “I really enjoy my education life simultaneously and want to complete my graduation successfully.”
