After 69 years, first ever reunion of retired employees of Mongla Port was held at Mongla Port area in Bagerhat on Thursday. On the occasion, retired officers and employees of the port gathered in front of Madhobi Port Colony in the morning.
Chairman of Mongla Port Authority Rear Admiral Sheikh Md. Abul Kalam Azad attended the reunion programme as the chief guest while Director (Admin) Md. Gias Uddin and CBA President Saizuddin Mia were present as the special guests.
Convener of the reunion Sardar Abdul Latif conducted the programme. More than a thousand people including representatives of media partner Joyjatra TV, retired employees of the port and reputed locals were present at the reunion. Guests enjoyed the colourful programmes held on the occasion of the first reunion of the port employees.
