At one time ships could not anchor at the jetty due to navigability crisis as the river was not dug in the jetty area of the port. As the river dredging is going on, there is no problem in anchoring the ship at that jetty.
On Sunday, all the jetties in Mongla port are full of foreign merchant ships. 5 ships are anchored in this first 5 jetties.
Adjacent to the jetty of the Pashur river and increasing the navigability of the channel, increasing the equilibrium of Mongla port at the same time 5 ships were berthed for unloading cargo at the jetty.
Among the ships stationed at the jetty, there are two ships with a draft of 7 meters. A total of 11 merchant ships, including five at the port jetty, are currently stationed at the port, port authorities said.
Besides, all the jetties of this first port are full of foreign ships due to the special vision and timely steps of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the development and equality of Mongla port.

During the tenure of this government, more than 50 development activities including 14 projects were completed for the development of Mongla port.
As a result, the port has become bustling again and port usage is increasing by about 17 percent every year. Besides, the river is full of foreign ships at all points at the port jetty today, overcoming the crisis of navigability.
