Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated 50 model mosques and Islamic cultural centers through video conference in the first phase on the occasion of Mujib Year. Rajbari Sadar Upazila Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center is one of the 50 mosques which was inaugurated on Thursday morning.
Rajbari Sadar Upazila MP Alhaj Kazi Keramat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Dilsad Begum, Zilla Parishad Chairman Fakir Abdul Jabbar, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Emdadul Haque Biswas, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Fahmi Mohammad Saif, Assistant Commissioner (Land) were present at the inaugural function. Sadar Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Rakibul Hasan Pial and others were also present at the programme.
In addition to the prayer room in this model mosque, there is a library, conference room, maktab, rest house, Islamic foundation office, parking, Islamic shop, laundry room, separate prayer room for men and women, hospital wash block staircase, living room of Imam, open large courtyard which are included in every model mosque. 95 feet minaret, advanced fittings including marbles tiles, pre-Islamic education center, dining and ornamental designs are also installed in many mosques.
