A mobile court in Shailkupa of Jhenaidah have fined two businessmen when they had allegedly stored huge quantity of soybean oil. The mobile court was conducted at Kabirpur Bazer at about 7.15 pm on Tuesday.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Land at Shailkupa, also an executive magistrate Partaha Pratim Seal said having information he conducted drives in the house of some Sankar Kundu and Rajkumar Kundu.
The court found Sankar Kundu hoarded 300 barrels (61,000) litres) and Rajkumar Kundu hoarding 20 barrels (4,090) litres of soyabean oil illegally.
The court fined Taka 20 thousand and 15 thousand respectively for their alleged and unethical activities and ordered them to sell the same in against ethical prices among the consumers.
