The actress has written her name in movies as well and already completed the work of her first movie titled 'Omanush' along with actor Nirob.
Meanwhile, rumors are circulating that Mithila is going to work in Kolkata films too. The news is being heard from Tallyganj. According to Kolkata media Mithila will be seen in the new movie of the talented director Rajarshi Dey.
Last year, on the occasion of Satyajit Ray's centenary, Rajarshi Dey made a movie titled ‘Abar Kanchenjungha', which he has completely finished by now. This time he is preparing for Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. The idea is that Lady Macbeth will be more important in Rajarshi's movies. And Bangladeshi actress Mithila has been chosen for that character.
However, Arpita Chatterjee's name was heard earlier for that character. Due to some reason she has left the movie.
Rajarshi never lacks stars in his movies. For example, in 'Abar Kanchenjungha' he has cast Kamleshwar Mukherjee, Rahul Arunodaya Bandyopadhyay, Gaurab Chatterjee, Gaurab Chakraborty, Tanushree Chakraborty, Sourav Das, Anindya Chatterjee, Sayantani Guhathakurta, Sudipta Bandyopadhyay. It is learnt that most of the artistes here will also be in the new movies.
The new movie will be produced by Gaanbajna Music Garage Studio. Most of the shooting will be in Kolkata. It is believed that this movie is one of the reasons behind Mithila's recent visit to Kolkata.
In the midst of all these rumors, producer Rajarshi's statement is different. He dismissed it as a rumour. "I finished shooting for 'Abar Kanchenjungha ' late last year," Rajarshi said. The film was slated for release earlier this year. But due to the epidemic, lockdown, it has been delayed. I am not thinking of starting a new film before releasing that film.
